Hillview Engineering

Hillview Engineering

Hillview Engineering was founded in 2001 and first approached Phase 2 websites under a Somerset County Council scheme that funded the majority of the costs. Since then their business has expanded, moved to larger premises and recently updated their website accordingly. They are a good example of how Phase 2 builds relationships with clients over time rather than a 'take the money and run' approach that some others have.

Beryl - Gothic mansion B&B

Beryl - Gothic mansion B&B

One mile from the centre of the cathedral city of Wells, Beryl is set in 13 acres of parkland. Within the grounds are finely manicured lawns, carefully tended borders and a restored Victorian walled garden.

Elegant reception rooms are comfortably furnished with antiques, offering you the chance to relax by warm fires on a cold day, play board games or watch television - find a quiet corner to sit and read a favourite book, and maybe take a drink from the honesty bar.

The website shows professionally taken photos of the grounds, swimming pool and room

Boords Farm

Boords Farm

The cottage at Boords Farm is a self-catering cottage in Batcombe in Somerset. The owners had the property advertised in various places but were advised to get a website that would allow potential visitors to see what the property was like.

A website address takes up very little space in an advertisement, but it effectively enables people to access much more information and pictures than would ever be practicable in a small ad.

The simple fact is that a website allows potential guests to view the accommodation 'anonymously' and decide whether or not it is what they are looking for.

The traditional alternative of phoning for a brochure means waiting for it to arrive, and also giving out personal information for something which may turn out to be of no interest at all.

The website was first launched in 2004 and was quickly successful in attracting new business.

Since then the basic appearance of the site has changed little, but it has been upgraded to be fully compliant with Google mobile friendly guidelines.

Additionally, an availability calendar has been added so that potential guests can see what dates are available. This is updateable by the site owners in real time as bookings are confirmed.

Elphis Engineering

Elphis Engineering

Elphis Engineering is located in Wells, Somerset. The company boasts a modern manufacturing facility which is comprehensively equipped and regularly updated to take advantage of all technological developments

The guys at Elphis didn't have a website at all but thought that it was time to join the 21st century

Although the business is successful with plenty of work coming in, they were aware that these days any new clients are going to try and check them out on-line in the first instance and that without a website they could easily lose these potential clients

All pages and stock are updateable through a custom control panel
Tor Psychology

Tor Psychology

Tor psychology was founded by Elvie Brown and Roy Bailey in 2009. Both are Psychologists who have worked in different fields yet found common ground in the area of Psychological Skills Training. Although they each run our own successful practices they began to forge links. Discussions led us to the realisation that their respective different backgrounds enabled them to enhance each other's practice and to explore new ways of learning and addressing complex psychological processes.

This website was built in order to take this forward as a combined operation to their mutual advantage.
